q \-\-\\ Payments of amounts due hereunder shall be made by City within thirty (30) days following acceptance by the City of contractor's services and receipt by City of contractor's invoice or statement therefore. 3. TERM. The term of this Agreement shall commence upon the date first hereinabove written and shall expire ,2000; 4. INSURANCE. General. The Contractor shall not commence any work until he obtains, at his own expense, all required insurance. Such insurance shall have the approval of the City as to limit, form and amount. The Contractor shall not permit any subcontractor to commence work on this project until the same insurance requirements have been complied with by such subcontractor. Companies writing insurance for the Contractor shall be licensed to do business in the State of California or be permitted to do business under the Surplus Line Law of the State of California. Contractor shall take out, pay for, and maintain throughout the duration of this Contract the following insurance coverage: a. Commercial and Automobile Liability Insurance. This insurance shall protect the Contractor from claims for bodily injury and property damage which may arise because of the nature of the work or from operations under this Contract. 1. Type of Coverage. This policy of insurance shall name the City of Redwood City, its Council, commissions, boards, officers, employees, and agents as additional insureds. This policy shall provide coverage to each of the said insureds with respect to said work.
