BFI stated that there will be no change in overall residential refuse costs <br />if all jurisdictions move to same day service. <br /> <br />Upon full SBWMA Board approval, the changes in service delivery may be implemented <br />administratively under the franchise agreement with BFI. (Concurrently with the action <br />described in this report, introduction of an ordinance amending the franchise agreement <br />to include recyclable collections from non-residential properties is recommended [please <br />refer to separate report].) <br /> <br />Fiscal Impact <br />Same Day Service and On-Call Cleanups - There will be no change in overall residential <br />costs if all jurisdictions move to same day service and on-call cleanups. Some <br />jurisdictions may experience a slight increase, other jurisdictions a slight decrease. If <br />routes have to be increased as a result of this change, BFI guarantees no impact to rates. <br />If routes decrease, BFI states any reduction in costs would be handled as cost savings as <br />prescribed by our Franchise Agreement.
