1 <br /> REPORT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the City Manager <br /> August 14, 2000 <br /> Subject <br /> Advertisement for Bids — Red Morton Park/Valota Road Restroom Replacement <br /> Project - Engineering File No. 1302-02 <br /> Recommendation <br /> Adopt a resolution approving the Contract Documents entitled, "Contract Documents for <br /> the Red Morton Park/Vatota Road Restroom Replacement Project," and authorize the <br /> advertisement for bids. <br /> Background <br /> Heavy usage and structure deterioration has rendered this essential park facility to <br /> become run-down, wet, and unsanitary. Furthermore, the existing facilities were not <br /> designed to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act requirement. <br /> This project will replace the existing restroom with new prefabricated restroom at the <br /> same location. The features included in the new restroom are: standard toilets, wheel <br /> chair accessible toilets, lavatory, urinal, mirror, tissue dispenser, paper towel dispenser, <br /> sanitary napkin disposal, grab bars, and a drinking fountain.
