If five cameras are <br /> installed, there are no up-front fees to the City of Redwood City. The costs associated with the <br /> construction and installations are then amortized over the first year. If less than five cameras are <br /> installed, the City must pay construction and installation fees up front (approximately $30,000 per <br /> camera location). Upon identification of five (or more) locations where the City experiences a high <br /> number of traffic accidents, Lockheed Martin will conduct both visual and video monitoring of those <br /> locations. If there are less than 30 violations per day, the City is not be obligated to continue with <br /> that location. Based on the following data, the costs associated with operating the program would <br /> be recovered by two paid citations daily per camera. <br /> The following cost analysis should be considered as a"starting point" based on simitar experiences <br /> in other jurisdictions, prior to Redwood City negotiating a contract with Lockheed Martin. <br /> Pricing <br /> 1.
