Through a series of ineetings, various issues of concern were raised by members of the community in regard to future construction in Redwood Shores. As a result of open communications and a collaborative effort, as well as the spirit of compromise, RCN voluntarily a=reed to a number of items. Some of these items have been incorporated into the Cable Franchise and revised Encroachment Permit to be voted on by the City Council on August 14. Other items were addressed by what has been termed "Informal Agreements" as presented by the City En=ineer at a July 13 joint association meeting. Those Informal Agreements are listed on the attached document. It is RCN's intent to honor both the Informal Agreements and the Forma] A� eements that resulted from the hard work of the City and Task Force. I want to reiterate that RCN desires, and intends, to provide competitive high bandwidth telecommunications services to all the citizens of Redwood City where we have the authority to do so.
