'1.3AS <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE <br /> CITY OF BELMONT FOR COST ALLOCATION FOR <br /> TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AND ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> ASSOCIATED WITH THE RALSTON/ROUTE 101 INTERCHANGE AND <br /> ISLAND PARK DIRECT ACCESS PROJECT FINAL DESIGN <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of , <br /> 2000, by and between the CITY OF BELMONT, a municipal corporation of the State of <br /> California ("BELMONT"), and THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation <br /> of the State of California ("REDWOOD CITY"). <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, BELMONT requires the development of final design and the <br /> preparation of Contact Documents for the Ralston/Route 101 Interchange and Island <br /> Park Direct Access Project (the "Project"); and <br /> WHEREAS, BELMONT will enter into a consulting agreement (the "Consulting <br /> Agreement") with MARK THOMAS & CO., INC. ("Consultant") for preparation of said <br /> design and documents by way of the agreement attached as Exhibit A; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Project, as depicted in the map attached hereto as Exhibit B, <br /> mutually benefits the Cities of Belmont and Redwood City in certain respects; and <br /> WHEREAS, the parties desire hereby to allocate costs of the Project between the <br /> two Cities so that REDWOOD CITY pays the design costs for the improvements <br /> identified as "Interchange Improvements" and BELMONT pays the design costs <br /> identified as "Island Park Direct Access Improvements" as shown in Exhibit B. <br /> Aemr-380 <br /> Sh/rwc/CounciUAgmt <br /> FXS:djk <br /> 08/02/00 <br /> -1- <br /> _. _ _..... _. _ .._-_.-_ . _�. p _. <br />
