The right of the
parties to terminate your employment without cause shall not be a limitation upon
the right to terminate for cause.

In addition to the duties of City Clerk as described in the job specifications
for that position, I am also pleased to confirm your acceptance of participation in
the selection process for City Clerk, it being understood that your acceptance of
employment with the City has, by your own choice, been limited to that of Interim
City Clerk. Finally, it is understood that, again by your choice, your continued
appointment is expressly for the period February 1-March 31, 1999. Therefore, if
the occasion should arise where you and the City Council desire further to
extend the appointment, any such extension shall be confirmed in writing after
you have conferred with the City Councilor with me or a committee by direction
of the Council.

Kindly acknowledge your acceptance of the terms and conditions of your
appointment described in this letter by signing in the space provided below.
Meanwhile, I wish to express my appreciation for your service with the City and
look forward to the remainder of the term of your appointment.

Very truly yours,

9~~

Diane Howard, Mayor ~

*

*

*

Acceptance

The foregoing terms and conditions of employmen re acknowledged and

acœPte~~ ~
Dated:' 1 % I'lft

I
City Council
City Manager
Director of Finance
Director of Human Resources
City Attorney

cc:

L-174
flshlshlRCICouncil

',"' ~
