<br />1.314 <br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br /> <br />August 28, 2000 <br /> <br />Subject <br />2000-2001 Comprehensive Street Tree Maintenance Project <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />By Resolution, accept the bid and award the contract for the Comprehensive Street Tree <br />Maintenance Project - 2000-2001 to West Coast Arborists, Inc., of Anaheim, CA, for the <br />amount of $ 327,910.00 and reject all other bids. <br /> <br />Background <br />On June 26, 2000 the City Council approved the contract documents and specifications <br />and authorized the City Clerk to call for bids for the subject contract. The reference check has been conducted and staff is confident they will perform <br />the contract in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety regulations. <br /> <br />The project provides street tree maintenance services to the City supplying one three- <br />person crew for a complete year as needed for street tree maintenance services. A second <br />crew will be scheduled for six months to concentrate only on block pruning.
