':'.J\., <br /> <br />-t: UU;¡.- <br /> <br />f).1Aü.. <br /> <br />Subsequent projects witlUn the Specific Plan area., such as Ï1Úrastructure improvements and <br />development permits for individual projects, may be 5ubject to further environmental <br />review. <br /> <br />The scope of work for this project is broken into 5 tasks, which coincide with the CEQA <br />environmental review process- A specific scope of services is provided for Task 1 in this <br />document. After the decibion is made as to whether an MND or EIR will be prepared, <br />detailed scopes of work will be developed for subsequent tasks. <br /> <br />Task 1: Prepare Project Description and Initial Study <br /> <br />Decision Point: Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) or EIR? Tasks 2 - 5 assume <br />an ErR would be prepared. If an MND is selected, a revised scope will be provided. <br /> <br />Task 2: Prepare Administrative DTaft Em <br /> <br />Task 3: Prepare and Circulate DEIR <br /> <br />Task 4: Prepare Administrative Final Em and Response to Comments <br /> <br />Task 5: Prepare Final EIR <br /> <br />Preparation of the Specific Plan is being directed by an Oversight Committee, comprised of <br />the Oty of Redwood City, the property owners within the Specific Plan, and !:he Redwood <br />Shores Owners Association (RSOA). The Oversight Committee meets monthly. Attendance <br />by 0i2M HILL at the Oversight Committee meetings is included in our scope of work. <br /> <br />Task 1: Prepare Project Description and Initial Study <br /> <br />Task 1 begjns with a kick-off meeting between the CH2M HILL and the Oty of Redwood <br />City planning staff. We will use this meeting to obtain information, existing studies, and <br />project materials from the City as necessary. FoUowing the meeting, we will tour the project <br />site to become familiar with the physical setting and environmental issues associated with <br />the project. <br /> <br />As part of this task, we will attend the monthly Oversight Committee meetings for <br />September, October, November, and December, 2000. We will also attend a Redwood City <br />Plamúng Commission study session, wlúch is scheduled to occur during this task. <br /> <br />Following completion of the draft Specific Plan in late October, we will prepare a draft <br />project description for CEQA purposes. The project description will include all of the <br />elements required under CEQA, and will be prepared with input and assistance from the <br />Specific Plan consultant. The draft project description will be circulated for review by the <br />Oversight Committee prior to being finalized. It will include maps and graprncs as <br />necessary to illustrate the location and components of the Specific PIan. We will incorporate <br />as many of the graphics from the Specific Plan as possible to avoid duplication of effort. <br /> <br />Føllowing approval by the Oversight Committee of the project description, we will prepare <br />the dra.ft Initial Study. The draft Initial Study will rely on existing studies, data, and <br />techrúcal reports that are available from the City and property owners. No new technical <br />analyses, oilier than reconnaissance-level field visits, will be performed for the draft Irútial <br />Study.
