��► -y <br /> Attachment 1 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1130- <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 37 (COMMENCING WITH SECTION 37.1) OF <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1130, AS AMENDED, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO ACCESSORY DWELLINGS <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. Section 1. Article 37 (commencing with Section 37.1) of Ordinance No. <br /> 1130, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Redwood City, is hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> "ARTICLE 37 <br /> ACCESSORY DWELLINGS <br /> Section 37.1. Purpose. The purpose of this Article is to permit accessory <br /> (secondary) dwelling units in residential zoning districts on lots improved with a single <br /> family unit while maintaining the residential character of the neighborhoods in which such <br /> units are located. (Policy 3 of the Housing Element of the Redwood City General Plan). <br /> Section 37.2. Permit Required. Accessory dwellings shall be permitted in the <br /> RH, R-1, R-2, R-3, R-4, and R-5 zoning districts subject to issuance of a non- <br /> discretionary permit; provided that such dwellings shall compty with the criteria and <br /> conditions set forth in Section 37.4. The Zoning Administrator's consideration of an <br /> application for an accessory dwelling shall be limited to a determination of compliance <br /> of the proposed accessory dwelling with the provisions of Section 37.4. <br /> Section 37.3. Notice.
