REPORT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the City Manager <br /> October 16, 2000 <br /> Subject � <br /> Advertisement for Bids — Municipal Service Center Perimeter Fence Replacement Project <br /> (Phase II) <br /> Recommendation <br /> Approve resolution authorizing advertisement for bids for the contract documents entitled <br /> "Municipal Service Center Perimeter Fence Replacement Project" (Phase 11) <br /> Background <br /> � During the 1998/99 fiscal year, City Council added the Municipal Service Center perimeter <br /> fence replacement project (phase I) to their CIP priority list. <br /> That project consisted of replacing the existing fence from the Municipal Service Center <br /> vehicle egress gate along Chestnut Street and down Veterans Boulevard to the Woodside <br /> Road underpass. Phase I of the project was completed within budget on April 15, 1999. <br /> Phase I I of this project consists of replacing approximately 1000 feet of existing fence along <br /> Woodside Road from Veterans Blvd. to Broadway and possibly the fence along the <br /> employee parking lot to the vehicle egress gate on Chestnut Street. Staff estimate for this <br /> fence replacement project to be between $28,000 and $35,000 depending on number of <br /> replacement feet selected. <br /> A complete copy of the specifications is available for review in the City clerks office. <br /> Alternative <br /> 1. Approve the resolution to authorize the contract documents and advertise for bids. <br /> 2.
