Brian-Kangas-Foulk
completed the design for this project, but due to a funding shortage, only Phase 1 was
advertised for bids. Phase 1 included widening the south side of the roadway,
installation of new traffic signals, and street lighting, was completed in conjunction with
the opening of the new Redwood Shores Shopping Center. Phase II was postponed
until additional funds were set aside to cover the construction.
Funds are now available, and the design for Phase II has been updated to reflect
changes in the existing conditions and new development improvements. The
Engineer's Estimate for this portion of the work is $775,000.
In an attempt to complete the widening simultaneously with the development of the new
Spieker Property, the construction schedule has been extended to take into
consideration construction delays due to inclement weather.
Fiscal Impacts
Funds in the amount of $850,000 were appropriated in the 1999/2000 General
Improvement District 1-64 Facilities Fees Fund.
.
% .'.•Xi / (J
Brian Lee o Patterson Ed Everett
Senior Civil Engineer Manager, Engineering & Construction City Manager
BL:ss
s/library/reports/brian/advertisement RWSParkway119.29.00
_ ._ __ __. _.. _ ..... _ . __ __......... ._....__._ _._ .-.. .. _. _
