�. 3 6�1 <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> MANAGEMENT ANALYST <br /> � DEFINITION <br /> To provide staff support, coordinate administrative projects and perform technical <br /> analysis on administrative issues. <br /> SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br /> Direction is provided by various staff members, according to assigned projects. <br /> Responsibilities may include technical or functional supervision over other <br /> personnel. <br /> EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES <br /> 1. Serve as lead person in the City's performance measuremenU <br /> benchmarking program. <br /> 2. Conduct surveys and perForm research and statistical analyses on <br /> administrative, fiscal, personnel and operational problems; make <br /> recommendations on the formulation of policy and procedure. <br /> 2. Perform special projects of an inter-divisional or inter-departmental nature <br /> � as assigned. <br /> 3. Participate in the installation of new and revised programs, systems <br /> procedures and methods of operation; and/or evaluate programs and <br /> procedures. <br /> 4. Coordinate the research, development, review and preparation of grant <br /> applications; monitor existing programs for compliance with regulations. <br /> 5. Assist in the development, coordination and monitoring of the department <br /> budget; prepare expenditure summary reports. <br /> 6. Compile materials and assist in the preparation of reports, manuals and <br /> publications. <br /> 7. Participate in administering contracts as assigned. <br /> 8. Provide assistance to Council subcommittees (i.e. Utility Subcommittee). <br />
