g-c � - <br /> Ms. Riordan said that many cities questioned why fhey should be held <br /> ( responsible for housing development within the unincorporated areas where they <br /> have no fand use controls. <br /> Ms, Riordan said that the Executive Board of Association of Bay Area <br /> Govemments (ABAG) ultimately decided that counties will be responsible for <br /> 25% of new housing within unincorporated lands and cities will be responsible for <br /> � 75%. <br /> Commissioner Giannini asked if the plan anticipated residential development at <br /> Pete's Harbor. He noted that other uses were possible. <br /> Ms. Riordan said that the plan did discuss housing at this site. <br /> Commissioner Giannini said that on Page 8 the last paragraph "The City <br /> prepares and updates a housing site listing for developers, contractors real <br /> estate and the general public". He wanted to know if it was readily available. <br /> Ms. Riordan said yes, it is available at the counter. <br /> Commissioner Piulle asked a question on the Housing Element °Mission <br /> Statement item # 2" °Initiate a Housing Summit invofving the Council, Planning <br /> Commission and Housing and Human Concerns Committee". Has that been <br /> done? . <br /> ; Mr. Church said it has been done, but has not happened every year. • <br /> Commissioner Piulle said that on page 19 " our changing economy appears to be <br /> generating a demand for rental housing production. As such, development of <br /> high density multi-unit residential projects appears to be more reafistic during the <br /> 95-99 planning period".
