 . 3 - D
Assessments would be determined at a level lower than the previous fiscal yeaz's occupancy rate.
For properties with over 20 rooms throughout the county, with the exception of Half Mon Bay and
the unincorporated areas, a 70% occupancy rate would be used. For properties over 20 rooms in
Half Moon Bay and in the uriincorporated areas, a 50% occupancy rate would be used. For all
properties in the county with under 20 rooms, a 30% occupancy rate would be used. Each city
would collect the money from the properties when Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) money is
collected. The money would be passed on to the Bureau to market the county in keeping with the
written agreement between the Bureau and the cities participating in the district. The Bureau would
no longer ask contributing cities for a percentage of the TOT collected in their properties.
Fiscal Impact
Savings of approximately $33,000 annually, which represents what the City presently pays the
Bureau out of our TOT. This expense will no longer be necessary.

agda A. Go lez Ed "erett '.
Assistant to the City Manager City Manager
Attachment:
Timeline
