It is intended to summarize the Agency's actions over the past five
years and to outline the housing and non-housing projects that the Agency is
contemplating over the next five years. The Plan is a policy document, drafted to guide
the Agency over the five-year period but still allowing flexibility for the Agency to
respond to specific redevelopment opportunities as they arise. Adoption of this
document does not bind this or future Boards to any particular project. Each project, as
implemented, must go through the normal project approval process, and the Board may
decide not to pursue it, or amend it at that time. .
This is a public hearing and it has been noticed, as required, for three successive
weeks prior to this hearing.
During the last Implementation Plan period, the Agency accomplished the following list
of capital projects:
■ Sequoia Station
• City Center Parking Structure
■ Mezes Plaza office building with U. C. Berkeley as the anchor tenant
■ Economic Development Strategy document in collaboration with the Chamber of
Commerce
■ Storefront Improvement Program
■ Main Street sidewalks and landscaping
 Hamilton Avenue improvements
1
_.. _. _ .__.. . .. . t . _. _
_ _
