Appropriations from Unappropriated Reserves <br /> <br />GENERAL FUND <br /> <br />1. Finance Department <br /> A. Administrative Support Services - Redwood City School District Utility 239,000 <br /> Connection Fees that were waived for Water and Sewer systems. <br /> <br />2. Police <br /> A. The City received Police Activities League grant funds for the program 42,547 <br /> at Taft School. An appropriation must be established so that the Police <br /> Department may expend these funds. <br /> <br /> B. New grants from the State of California and the Federal Government 201,284 <br /> have been received. Appropriations must be established to reflect <br /> these grants in the budget. <br /> <br /> C. The Police Department received a $20,000 allocation from the 20,000 <br /> Redwood City Elementary School District to fund one half of the middle <br /> school resource officer program. An appropriation must be established <br /> to cover the additional costs associated with this program. <br /> <br />3. Library <br /> A. New grants from the State of California, Lila Wallace Foundation, and 301,176 <br /> the San Francisco Giants Foundation have been received. <br /> Appropriations must now be established to enable staff to accurately <br /> manage these grants. <br /> <br />4. City Council <br /> A. Replenish the Mayor's Fund to the full amount allocated per the City's 1,200 <br /> Charter. <br /> <br />5. City Manager <br /> A. During the budget process for amending the second year of the budget, 44,254 <br /> 2001-02, the cost associated with a partial full time equivalent was <br /> erroneously left out of the budget system.
