Kennedy/Jenks will do the following: <br /> <br /> Design the pipeline alignment in plan view; <br /> <br /> · Prepare details for pipeline/creek crossings; <br /> <br /> · Prepare details for pipeline/utility crossings; <br /> <br /> · Prepare pipeline standard details for required appurtenances and trench <br /> requirements; <br /> <br /> · Submit design drawing mark-ups to Mark Thomas for drafting, and review <br /> the drafted drawings; <br /> <br /> · Review the specifications for the project, prepare inserts for the pipeline <br /> design, submit the inserts to Mark Thomas for conversions to Caltrans <br /> format (Macintosh), and review the prepared specifications; <br /> <br /> · Review the geotechnical investigation report and recommendations, and <br /> incorporate them into the pipeline design; <br /> <br /> · Update the pre-design cost estimate, submit to Mark Thomas for conversion <br /> to Caltrans format, and review; and <br /> <br /> · Provide support services during bidding, including attendance at a pre-bid <br /> conference and responding to contractor and Caltrans questions. <br /> <br /> Other construction services, including shop drawing review and site observation, <br /> are not included in this proposal but can be provided by Kennedy/Jenks, if <br /> requested. <br /> <br /> Schedule <br /> <br /> We estimate the final design can be completed within 120 days of notice to <br /> proceed. This schedule depends on Caltrans' and Mark Thomas & Company's <br /> schedule. It is anticipated that most of the work will be completed by March <br /> 2002. It is understood that the City of Redwood City Engineering Department <br /> will review the contract documents concurrently with Caltrans review scheduled <br /> for March 2002. <br /> <br /> Budget <br /> <br /> We propose a budget of $73,400 be established for this work. Payment would be <br /> on a reimbursable basis, for hours and direct costs expended, in accordance with <br /> <br /> <br />
