DAi..:dft 4/15/91 (055/29) 0 RIG I N A L 4/22/91 RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 11 '514- ---------- RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE REDWOOD CITY DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION AS THE ADVISORY BOARD FOR THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA NO.2 AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE REDWOOD CITY DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION RELATING TO THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE ASSESSMENTS RAISED BY THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA NO.2 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1359, adopt.ed May 27, 1968, as amended, established Downtown Parking and Business Improvement Area No.1 in a portion of the City of Redwood City in accordance with Section 36000, et seq., of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, Redwood City ("City") and the Redwood City Downt.own Association (" Association") previously contracted for the purposes of holding in trust, assessments raised by Ordinance No. 1359, as amended, and administering such assessments in accordance with certain of the uses and purposes for which such assessments are to be put. pursuant to Ordinance No. 1359, as amended; and WHEREAS, City has now disest.ablished Downtown Parking and Business Improvement. Area No.1 and terminated the Association's agreement. for the administration of the assessments raised under Ordinance No. 1359; and WHEREAS, City has established, by Ordinance No. 2036 adopt.ed March 11, 1991, Downtown Business Improvement Area No. 2; hereinafter referred to as IIArea No.2" pursuant to Streets and Highways Code §36500 et seq.; and WHEREAS, Association is a non-profit. corporation of the State of California, the general purposes of which are similar to '-C"lr'
