<br />DES:djk 04J02/91 <br /> <br />(033/44) <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL <br />SERVICES - PROPOSED NEW POLICE FACILITY <br /> <br />THIS AMENDMENT <br /> <br />TO AGREEMENT, <br /> <br />made this <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />, 1991, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br /> <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, <br /> <br />( "Ci ty" ) <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />LEACH MOUNCE ARCHITECTS ("Architect"); <br /> <br />WIT N E SSE T H: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City and Archi t.ect 's predecessor in interest <br /> <br />(H. <br /> <br />Wendell Mounce, A.I.A. <br /> <br />& Associates) <br /> <br />entered into that certain <br /> <br />agreemen t. <br /> <br />entitled <br /> <br />"Agreement <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />Architectural <br /> <br />Services <br /> <br />Proposed <br /> <br />New <br /> <br />Police <br /> <br />Facility" <br /> <br />dated <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />parties <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />January 12, 1990 (the "Agreement"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parties entered int.o a first amendment to the <br /> <br />Agreement dated as of July 3, 1990; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />consented <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />t.he <br /> <br />assignment <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Agreement to Leach Mounce Architects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article VII of the Agreement requires that certain <br /> <br />changes in the performance of work under the Agreement shall be <br /> <br />written and approved by City's City Council; and <br /> <br />tvHEREAS, additional architectural services are required for <br /> <br />Phase <br /> <br />V <br /> <br />( "Construction <br /> <br />Documents" ) <br /> <br />work <br /> <br />described <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Agreement relat,ing t.o design revisions for parking and emergency <br /> <br />power requirements of the project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />services <br /> <br />require <br /> <br />an <br /> <br />increase <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Nineteen <br /> <br />Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-five and No/100 Dollars ($19,625.00) <br /> <br />in Architect's fees; <br /> <br />11508 <br /> <br />"-"'--""""'1r" <br />
