6. 7. 8. Insurance. Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and property damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, its Council, boards, commissions, officers, employees, and agents as insureds, or additional insureds, insuring the same against all claims for personal injury or death to any person or persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the activities herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted or alleged to have arisen therefrom, or from any act or omission to act, of permittee in connection therewith, in the amounts of $500,000 for each person and $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage insurance for damage or injury to, or destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in the amount of $500,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in form satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by permittee to the City at least ten (10) days prior to commencement of the event. Damage to Public Property. Permittee shall reimburse the City for the costs for any damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated route, caused by or arising out of, the conducting of the activities permitted hereunder, or the acts, or omissions to act, of persons participating in said event. All signs or other markings placed in or upon public property,including the public right of way in connection the activity with shall be removed immediately following said event. Compliance With Laws. Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and applicable rules, regulations and laws in connection with the conducting of said event, or any activities associated therewith.Specifically,permittee or any other individual event participants shall be responsible for obtaining necessary State A8C permits and County Health permits. Permittee shall obtain all necessary, State, County and City permits pertaining to the fireworks display. This permit shall be in addition to all other permits which are or may be required for conducting said parade and festival, or any other activity associated therewith. Any sale of alcoholic beverages shall cease not later than 5:00 PM. 9. Hold Harmless. Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify and save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, commissions, employees and agents from all suits, actions, damages, or claims to which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature whatsoever, resulting from or arising out of the performance or failure to perform of permittee hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out of said parade, race, festival or any activities herein permitted. City Services: City agrees to provide those services requested in the letter of February 22,1991 (Exhibit "8") to the City Council in furtherance of activities herein permitted. 10, 11. Restroom Facilities: Adequate temporary restroom facilities shall be provided by permittee at no expense to the City. 11498 r-
