<br />DES:dft ~(12/91 (048/29) <br /> <br />o RIG I N A L <br /> <br />MAR 2 5 1991 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. 11497 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />COMMITTEE <br /> <br />ESTABLISHING <br /> <br />ARCHITECTURAL <br /> <br />ADVISORY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the economic vitality and quality of life in the <br /> <br />Ci ty of Redwood City is direct.ly related to the architectural <br /> <br />quality of development therein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 45 of Ordinance No. 1130, as <br /> <br />amended, the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, architectural permits <br /> <br />are required in connection with the issuance of building permits <br /> <br />for the construction of any structure in any zoning district in <br /> <br />the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in providing architectural control <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />enhancement of t.he nat.ural beauty of the environment, and to <br /> <br />provide for the orderly and harmonious appearance of structures <br /> <br />and grounds in furtherance of the purpose of said Article 45, <br /> <br />this Council desires to provide the opportunity to obtain expert <br /> <br />professional advice in architectural matters; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the establishment of an Architectural Advisory <br /> <br />Con~ittee will facilitate the decision-making process relating to <br /> <br />approval of developments in the City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Architectural Advisory Committee. <br /> <br />The Architectural <br /> <br />Advisory Committee of the City of Redwood City, consist.ing of <br /> <br />five members, is hereby established. At least three members of <br /> <br />the Committee shall be <br /> <br />licensed architects or <br /> <br />landscape <br />
