The Zoning Administrator shall serve as <br /> <br /> <br />staff advisor to the Committee, and shall provide such st.aff <br /> <br /> <br />support and assistance as is necessary or appropriate for the <br /> <br /> <br />Committee to carry out its activities. <br /> <br /> <br />6. Duties. The Committee shall advise the City Council, <br /> <br /> <br />Planning Commission, and Zoning Administrator on matters <br /> <br /> <br />concerning building and landscape architecture, site design, and <br /> <br /> <br />signs. Specifically, the Committee shall: <br /> <br /> <br />a) Review the Redwood City Urban Design Guidelines and <br /> <br /> <br />make recommendations pertaining thereto; <br /> <br /> <br />b) Upon request of the Zoning Administrator, review <br /> <br /> <br />applica t.ions for architectural permits pertaining to <br /> <br /> <br />single family dwellings (including new structure and <br /> <br /> <br />additions to existing buildings), multi-family <br /> <br /> <br />dwellings, signs, landscaping, commercial and <br /> <br />industrial buildings; and make recommendations <br /> <br /> <br />pertaining thereto; <br /> <br /> <br />c) Upon request of the Zoning Administ.rator, make <br /> <br /> <br />recommendations to him or her, or other City staff <br /> <br />members designated by the Zoning Administrator, <br /> <br />regarding architectural aspects of both private and <br /> <br />public projects of an unusual or controversial nature; <br /> <br /> <br />d) Upon request of the Zoning Administrator, make <br /> <br /> <br />recommendations regarding architect.ural issues raised <br /> <br /> <br />on appeal to the City Council in connection with the <br /> <br /> <br />issuance or denial of entitlements or other project <br /> <br /> <br />approvals or denials; <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />11497 <br />
