<br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />Project and Systems Engineer <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Ability to: <br /> <br />Make complex engineering computations and to check, design, and <br />supervise the construction of a wide variety of public and private <br />facil ities. <br /> <br />Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. <br /> <br />Use a variety of drafting and engineering apparatus. <br /> <br />Effectively manage computer systems, and coordinate computer-related <br />activities with other City departmemts. <br /> <br />Supervise, train, and evaluate professional and technical subordinates. <br /> <br />Meet appropriate physical demands necessary for adequate job <br />performance. <br /> <br />Experience and Education: <br /> <br />Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide <br />the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to <br />obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: <br /> <br />Experience: <br /> <br />Three years responsible experience in public works engineering. <br />Education: <br /> <br />Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or <br />university in civil engineering or a closely related field. <br /> <br />license or Certificate <br /> <br />Possession of a Certificate of Registration as a professional engineer <br />in the State of California is required. <br /> <br />Possession of a valid California Driver's License and a satisfactory <br />driving record is required.
