<br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br />FY 2017-18 STORM PUMP REPAIR SERVICES NIB 7 OF 21 <br /> <br />In the event Bidder has not delivered and installed the parts within the specified maximum number <br />of days till delivery to Redwood City, the contract between the successful Bidder and the City may <br />be considered null and void. <br /> <br />Applications for extension of time beyond the specified maximum number of days till delivery to <br />Redwood City shall be made in writing to the City Contact not more than 7 calendar days from the <br />beginning of any condition which will cause delay. Allowances will be made for delays due to strikes, <br />fires, floods or other causes not due to the fault or negligence of the Bidder. <br /> <br />In the event a successful Bidder fails to provide the supplies and services within the time specified <br />and the contract is cancelled, the City may enter into an agreement with the next lowest Bidder for <br />delivery and installation of the specified supplies in this document. <br /> <br />E. Invoicing <br /> <br />Contractor will submit invoices to: Public Works Services Department, Attn: Wastewater Division, <br />1400 Broadway, Redwood City, CA 94063. Invoices should include a description of the service, list <br />of parts used, labor hours, and cost breakdown. <br /> <br />F. Payment <br /> <br />Payment will be made within thirty (30) days of receipt of an accurate invoice. Payment will be <br />made no more frequently than monthly. <br /> <br />G. Redwood City Business License <br /> <br />The Successful Bidder must either possess a current, valid Redwood City business license or have <br />submitted a Redwood City business license application and fee at the time of contract award. <br />Business license information (application, ordinance, fees) can be found by navigating to the City <br />of Redwood City homepage (www.redwoodcity.org) and selecting “Business,” “Starting a <br />Business,” then “Business Licensing.” <br /> <br />H. DIR Registered Contractor <br />The Contractor must be registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code §§ 1772.5 and 1771.1, and provide <br />its DIR contractor number in Attachment A – Bid Pricing Form. <br />I. Bid Cost <br />The Contractor must complete, sign and submit Attachment A – Bid Pricing Form with Contractor’s <br />bid. All pricing must be inclusive, and include all labor, material, and equipment necessary for all <br />tasks listed in this Scope of Services. Provision of this information assists the City in determining <br />whether the Bidder understands the project, whether the costs are fair and reasonable in light of <br />the services to be provided, and provides City staff with tools to negotiate the final cost. <br />6.1.B. - Page 17
