Task 3 — Neighborhood Charrette Report Out April 26th <br /> Community Review of Recommendations <br /> Final Consensus or Public Alignment on the Recommendations <br /> a. Morning technical presentation to key staff and appropriate elected leaders — City <br /> leaders respond to key recommendations and come into agreement on those items that are practical, workable, and <br /> supported by the city. Feedback informs and amends the public presentation to follow. <br /> b. Final field check — Consultant will make any final field checks, amend the presentation as appropriate, and prepare <br /> for the evening public session. <br /> c. Evening Workshop Presentation and Feedback (90 minutes) — The Consultant makes a short presentation on <br /> problems that have emerged, emphasizing that this will be a plan that has been vetted on a technical basis, and is <br /> ready for their refinements and adoption. Addressing the type of treatments that respond to actual problems follows <br /> this. <br /> Deliverables: Photos, notes a Preliminary Final Report in Power Point format to memorialize the work and results. <br /> Allow 2.5 weeks for delivery. This report will be vetted by ELS and the City prior to the May 21St presentation. <br /> Includes 30% design plans and related graphics. The study area is likely to include all streets surrounding the park, <br /> and other key linking streets in the neighborhood where parking and other concerns have been raised. <br /> 4. Task 4 — City Council Presentation May 21st <br /> Final Review and Adoption of Recommendations <br /> Produce a Final Plan for Review and Action <br /> Integrated presentation with ELS Architecture and Urban Design presentation. The New VMSC/YMCA is presented <br /> to the city council, along with recommendations for improving traffic flow, traffic calming, parking and other <br /> neighborhood-agreed upon recommendations. This includes both short term and mid to long term changes. <br /> Toole Design (TDG), as a subconsultant of ELS, will provide the following scope of work <br /> Task 1 : Discovery Phase Support- Workshop 1 (March 1st) <br /> One TDG staff person will attend and be available to lead two 90-minute walking audits in support of Blue Zones. The <br /> first two community walking audits will focus on information gathering and listening to community concerns as relates <br /> to motorists, bicyclists, pedestrians, elders, and school-related transportation needs. TDG will also plan to attend the <br /> early afternoon briefing and technical walking audit with city staff, elected leaders, and the consultant team. Our scope <br /> assumes that this comprises one day of activities. <br /> Deliverable: Meeting attendance, facilitation for City Staff Meeting and Workshop 1 . <br /> Task 2: Design Phase Support- Workshop 2 (March 22nd) <br /> TDG will attend and be available to lead one workshop or walking audits in support of Blue Zones. The workshop will <br /> focus on developing initial recommendations and presenting them to the community for discussion. Our fee assumes <br /> that this is an afternoon workshop. TDG will provide one round of engineering review of technical components for Blue <br /> Zone's initial concepts in markup/comment format. TDG will require a minimum of 5 days to provide comments. <br /> Deliverables: Meeting attendance and facilitation for Workshop 2.
