<br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds for the general work of this project have been approved and appropriated in the <br />Fiscal year 2017/18 budget as Water Fund Capital Projects – Distribution System <br />Replacement Program which has an available balance of $1,154,261.98 as of October <br />25, 2017. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />As the lead agency, City of Redwood City has determined that the 2017-2018 <br />Watermain Replacement Project meets the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA) exemption criteria as set forth in Section 15302(C) (replacement or <br />reconstruction of existing utility system and/or facilities involving negligible or no <br />expansion of capacity. Furthermore, the project design complies with the City’s <br />Engineering Standards and currently accepted practices. A Notice of Exemption (NOE) <br />will be filed following Council approval. <br /> <br />This project does not require a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System <br />(NPDES) General Permit for stormwater discharges associated with construction and <br />land disturbance activities pursuant to Attachment A.2 of Order No. R3-2015-0049, <br />NPDES Permit No. CAS612008, which exempts projects to update existing lines and <br />facilities.
