<br />Mayor Louis C. Christensen appeared at this time. <br /> <br />It seemed fitting that as, the Court House Annex Building <br />is to be completed a~ about the same time as Redwood City's city <br />hall and library buildings, that d~dication of all three buildings <br />be incorporated into on~ program, and the Secretary was directed <br />to write a let~er to the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County, <br />attention of Chairman Hugh H. Smith, submitting this proposal. <br /> <br />\.......-- <br /> <br />Director MOrton outlined briefly tentative plans he has <br />been working upon to celeþrate the occasion over a period of three <br />days-"'Friday, Saturday and Sund:ay, May 12, 13, and 14, 1939. Chair- <br />man Millington appointed a committee, ,as follows, to further devel- <br />op plans for the celebr~tion, to be presented at the next meeting: <br /> <br />Director MOr~on, Chairman <br />K. W . Van Gundy <br />Mildred Hoenck <br /> <br />Mayor Christen~en announced that he had been requested <br />by the San Francisco Exposition to name a_committee to represent <br />Redwood Ci~y in matters pertaining to-the Exposition, and named <br />all of the members of the Advisory Committee to act on this com- <br />mittee, with Mr. MOrton as Chairman. <br /> <br />It was suggested that an effort be made to attract San <br />Francisco Exposition vi~itors to Redwood City and San Mateo coúnty <br />the week-ehd of May 12-14, 1939,- but no action was taken upon the <br />matter at this time. <br /> <br />An announcement was made that Director MOrton had re- <br />cently been made Chairman of .the Peninsula Athletic Association of <br />San Mateo County, and Mr.- MOrton received the congratulations of <br />the group. <br /> <br />After discussion it was decided that matters pertaining <br />to boxing rules and regulations should be passed on by the Advisory <br />Committee before being presented to.the City Council. <br /> <br />Upon motio~ ma~e, seconded and carried, the meeting <br />adjourned at 8:36. <br /> <br />'~- <br /> <br />Mildred J.
