The motion was seconded by Mr. Bogie and was unan- <br />imously carried. <br /> <br />',--" <br /> <br />Mr. De Armond -and Mr. Morton presented the cases of two <br />W.P.A. Recreation leaders, Minnie Henderson and Lee Alderman, who <br />are now so-called junior leaders, and who in the opinions of both <br />Mr. De Armond and Mr. Morton are deserving of being promoted to <br />senior leaders. Mr. Morton pointed out that both of these play- <br />ground workers were studying to be physical education teachers, and <br />Bhat they were intelligent, capable and good workers. Mr. Morton <br />made a motion that the Committee write a-letter to the County W.P.A. <br />Headquarters recommending the promotion of-the two above mentioned <br />junior leaders to senior leaders. The motion, which was seconded <br />by Mr. Bogie, was carried unanimously; and Acting Chairman Hagan <br />directed the secretary to write such à letter. <br /> <br />Mr. Morton announced the Cross Country run to take place <br />on the following Sunday, Sept. 18, and told of the barbecue which <br />was to follow at Hawes Park. <br /> <br />A letter was acknowledged £rom the National Recreation <br />Association giving the amount of the dues for membership in their <br />organization, $5.00, and the benefits derived therefrom. Mr. Van <br />Gundy moved that the Rðdwood City Recreation Department become <br />members of the organization. The motion was seconded by Mr. Spinas <br />and carried. City'Manager Dimmitt will apply for the membership <br />through the means of a city purchasing order, and the Recreation <br />Magazine together with the bulletins and other literature will be <br />sent to the City. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Bogie, seconded by Mr. Morton, <br />and carried unanimously, that the Recreation Committee go on record <br />as being in favor of the Bond Issue for the proposed Library and <br />City Hall. <br /> <br />upon motion made, seconded and carried the meeting ad- <br />journed at 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mi1dred- J.
