<br />RULES AND REGULATIONS, PAGE 2 <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />Definitions: Certified agricultural products are defmed as fresh fruit, vegetables, <br />honey, shell eggs, flowers, nuts, and nursery stock. It is required that a separate <br />area is designated for non-agricultural products at a certified market. <br /> <br />Organic produce: Organic growers must be registered as an Organic Producer <br />with the office of the County Agricultural Commissioner. <br /> <br />Sellers of fresh fish must have a permit from San Mateo County Environmental <br />Health Department. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Each grower/vendor is responsible for his/her own: <br /> <br />Change <br />Shade <br />Waste container <br /> <br />Scales Broom and Dust Pan <br />Bags Signs <br />Sales Tables Garbage disposal <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />Food preparation (except trimming) is prohibited. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />Sales must stop and clean-up is to commence when the market closes at 12 noon. <br />The sales area must be keep clean. All garbage must be hauled away. be sure <br />to sweep up and clean your stall space before leaving. This is your responsibility. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />Scales: When an agricultural product is sold by weight, the type of scale used <br />shall be approved, tested, and sealed by the County Agricultural Commissioner, <br />Sealer of Weights and Measures. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />Packed products must show: Name of the grower and address; quantity in <br />package, and any additives used in preparation. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />Prices must be displayed at all times. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />Products may neither be sold from the ground nor stored upon the ground. (Use <br />an empty box or short 2 x 4's) - all products must be keep at least 6 inches above <br />the ground. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />Wholesale selling must be done off the premises or after hours. This market <br />exists solely for selling directly to consumers. <br /> <br />Noise: No loud hawking, barking or shouting to promote your product is <br />allowed. All product promotion must occur within the space assigned to the <br />producer and no in any common area. <br />
