The committee expressed hearty approval of the idea of stag~ing .the excursion as a publicity "stunt." ~ I ,. , r !, Mr. Morton said that -Mr. Max Gelber, Sequoia Union High School music instructor, had indicated that the delay of the Festival until May 19-21, .to coincide with National Music Week, might be advantage- ous. The commi ttee gene'rally dis'approved of the delay. Roger Walsh suggested that the Amer'ican Legion be appo'inted to take charge of the new library dedication during the Festival. MSC that the American Legion be permitted to dedicate the lib- rary, and that dedication of other- new buildings be granted-to org- anizations as outlined ~by Mr. Morton'. Mr. Morton said that he would re'port final' acknowledgement by those organizations. . Consideration of a letter written by Mr. Morton to Chairman Millington in regard .to asserted laxity in duties by the WPA rec- reation department was .delayed until the next regular meeting.
