Mr. Morton asserted that many <br />of the WPA employees are not doing their work properly, and that <br />the playgrounds are littered with scraps, weeds, etc., and that fre- <br />quently the equipment of the playgrounds isin bad repair. A complete <br />list of the complaints by Mr. Morton was contained. in a letter to <br />Chairman Millington. <br /> <br />Mr. William Morrissey, represeñting the Junior Chamber-of <br />Commerce, outlined the proposed ferry excursion and asked if the <br />committee would like to sponsor part of the plan as a "stunt" in <br /> <br />connection with the Spring Festival.
