City of Redwood City Statement of Work
Purpose
The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOV is to set forth the deliverables, protocols,
responsibilities, and methods of revision for the project to be undertaken. This document along
with its references and exhibits are a complete description of the software, services, and
equipment to be delivered by Lucent to Redwood City.
Scope of Project/Ppoject Deliverables
Systems Overview for Redwood City
Software and Services Pricing Strategy
Lucent Technologies proposes the following applications: Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD),
Mapping, Police Module Base RMS, Police Administration/Personnel, Imaging, and a Message
Switch with mobile applications for CAD and RMS for the city of Redwood City. In addition
to software applications Lucent Technologies have included pricing for hardware, networking,
interfaces, staging, integration, configuration, installation, training and project management for
the entire solution. Also proposed are third party products being provided, implemented and
supported by Motorola and Corporate Environments (Furniture) respectively.
System Design and Hardware Description
The configuration is based on a clientJserver architecture where intelligence is distributed
across a network of servers rather than centralized as in a legacy type host. Specifically,
individual servers are defined for CAD, RMS, Primary Domain Controller, Replicated Server
_ and a Message Switch for all stand-alone configurations. Server redundancy is included for
CAD and the message switch. The servers support those services for which the client has the
corresponding software application.
Solution
The following servers will be located at Redwood City. The Primary Domain Controller for
login, administration, faxing, and printing; CAD server and the CAD redundant server; a RMS
server, the Message Switch and redundant Message Switch, and a Replicated server. Redwood
City will also utilize seven CAD clients, fourteen 21"CAD monitors with seven dual display
cards.
Lucent Technologies Page 1.
Daign and engineering information contained in rhis offering is considered pmprietary and may not be shared with eny person or Redwood Ciry no[dircctly usociated with the addrasee
wichaut the acpras wricun consrnt of Lucent Technologia or iu designea.
