Redwood City Police
Department Acceptance Test Pian
' Test Procedure Overview .
The test requires two people from the Redwood City Police Department, one
person at the test host, and one person with the MW520. The Redwood City
Police Department will provide radios so that these two people can coordinate
their activities. -
For each link test, 100 test messages are sent from the MW520 to the test host,
then 100 test messages from the test host to the MW520. A successful link test
is based on a 95%acceptance criteria. A 95% acceptance criteria recZuires that
95 of the 100 messages transmitted inbound and outbound arrive at the
destination device on the first transmission attempt. A transmission attempt is
defined as one physical PTT transmission and includes two automatic retries.
The following steps are to be carried out for each link test:
Set-up
1. Prior to the test, verify the test equipment set-up. _
2. Start the mobile and host emulation test soflwaze applications.
Manually exchange messages between the test host and the MW520, ensuring
RF link reliability.
Test
1. The test host authorizes the MW520 under test
2. All statistics queues in the RNC3000 are reset to zero, and the test host
operator instructs the MW520 operator to start the inbound message
generation. The MW520 operator initiates the transmission of 100 inbound
messages of 100 chazacters each to the test host
3. After 100 test messages, the MyV520 operator instructs the test host
operator to start the outbound message generation.
4. The test host operator initiates the transmission of 100 outbound
messages of 100 characters each to the MW520.
MOrofrot.a ' 5 "9
. _ __ _. _ _ _. __._.
