Redwood City Police Department Acceptance Test Plan '�° Test Preparation Central Site The central site test equipment requires a laptop computer executing the TX application host emutation software. The test host equipment �consists of the following: •:- �,aptop computer or equivalent PC with 3.5 inch external floppy drive, PCTCP software, SIM3 software, and XIRCOM Ethernet adapter. ❖ AUI to lOBaseT adapter, lOBaseT cables and connectors to support the Ethernet connection to the RNC 3000. The test host is configured to be directly connected to the Ethernet host port on the RNC 3000. The host TX emulation application on the test host is used to generate outbound messages and receive inbound messages. The messages ' sent through the RF site during the test will be collected at the RNC site and presented with the link verification data. The host emulation application will be provided by Motorola. The data communication link, RNC 300Q,base stations, and MW520 will be provided - by the Red.wood City Police Department for the duration of the tes� Mobile Data Device For the test,the MW520 will run TX emulation sofl.ware for communication with the test host The TX emulation software allows the operator of the MW520 to periodically transmit a specified message. During the test,the MW520 must be situated in a lrnown coverage area to ensure ttia.t the quality of the RF communication path is sufficient to reduce the likelihood of propagation errors affecting the test results. Since the link veTification test is valid only if the test terminal is operating in solid RF coverage areas,Motorola personnel must qualify the test location prior to the start of Iink verif cation testing. Data collected during the test will identify the number of inessages successfully or unsuccessfully processed.
