motor skills and physical development among younger children and proper exercise and eating <br />habits among older children. PE+ coaches must also adjust their curricula to adapt to children with <br />disabilities or different physical abilities. The PE+ coaches will be knowledgeable about all activities <br />provided to the children, be able to communicate and demonstrate skills properly, observe all their <br />students and maintain discipline within the class. In addition to students, they interact with parents, <br />other teachers and school administrators. There will be four coaches hired for each school site, <br />including I head coach. Coaches work no more than 25 hours per week (approx. 5 hours/day). <br />Head coaches work no more than 27 hours per week (approx. 5.5 hours/day). <br />VIII. Budget and Distribution of Funding <br />Grant Purpose: SHD has agreed to provide grant funds to CITY which will use such funds to hire qualified <br />staff listed above, provide program training to staff, and cover costs of equipment and miscellaneous <br />supplies related to the education, instruction, and promotion of the PE+ program. CITY shall hire sufficient <br />coaches (up to 12) to provide the PE Plus program to four schools with staffing in accordance with CITY's <br />proposal. <br />Distribution of Funding: Sequoia Healthcare District will distribute the SHD funding contribution towards <br />PE+ in the following payment plan: the first payment will consist of the first half of the SHD contribution and <br />the second payment will consist of the second half of SHD contribution at the mid -year point upon <br />adequate program progress. The Redwood City School District contribution toward the program will be <br />provided to CITY under a separate financial agreement between CITY and RCSD.
