6.1.F. - Page 2
Although the recommended bid from Pump Repair Service Company is less than the
$60,000 threshold requiring City Council approval, when combined with the previous
agreements of $59,355.38 and $111,719, the total would exceed the $60,000 threshold
within the fiscal year.
Staff anticipates that the pump repairs will be completed within six weeks. In the interim,
the Bradford Station remains operational and is expected to adequately handle storm
water loads. The pump requiring repairs is secondary and acts as an additional layer of
reliability to the pump station.
ALTERNATIVES
Council may choose not to approve this request. However, staff strongly recommends
making repairs at this time in order to ensure all storm water facilities are fully
operational.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of $39,739.75 are available in the FY 2017-18 storm water account
for this purchase.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This activity is not a project under CEQA as defined in CEQA Guidelines, section
15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or foreseeable physical
change in the environment.
ADRIAN LEE
MANAGEMENT ANALYST
RAMANA CHINNAKOTLA
PUBLIC WORKS SERVICES DIRECTOR
MELISSA STEVENSON DIAZ
CITY MANAGER
ATTACHMENTS
1.
