6.1.G. - Page 5
ALTERNATIVES
The Council may elect not to approve the Neighborhood Street Enhancement Program
Implementation Plan or may request modifications to the Plan.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no direct fiscal impact of approving the Neighborhood Street Enhancement
Program Implementation Plan. If the Plan is approved, the Council will approve future
contract(s) for final design and construction of projects within the Plan. The only costs
incurred by the City for this effort are staff time for project management and to fund the
pilot one-way configuration. There is adequate funding in the Traffic Calming account of
the Capital Outlay Fund ($200,000 balance) to cover the estimated $12,000 cost of the
pilot.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
As proposed, the project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines per Section 15301 Class 1 (c); the plan
includes projects that are alterations to existing facilities on existing highways and
streets, sidewalks, gutters, bicycle and pedestrian trails and similar facilities.
KIMBERLY OVERTON
ASSISTANT ENGINEER II
AARON AKNIN
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER He COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
MELISSA STEVENSON DIAZ
CITY MANAGER
ATTACHMENTS
1.
