7.A. - Page 20 <br />and improvement of park improvements listed in the Impact <br />Fee Project List, including the acquisition of land necessary <br />for such improvements. <br />The Impact Fee Project List includes park improvements, funded in part or in <br />whole by impact fees, approved by resolution of the Council and maintained on <br />file in the office of the administrator. Currently, the Parks Impact Fee Project List <br />includes: <br />• Acquiring land for active park space as described in the 2008 Parks Needs <br />Assessment (defined by locations within the City) <br />• Increasing use capacity of athletic fields through the conversion of synthetic <br />turf and adding field lights where appropriate (i.e. Taft School turf conversion, <br />Garfield School turf conversion, and Guida-49er Field Lights) <br />• Developing trails and other recreational uses in the Hetch-Hetchy right-of- <br />way, Redwood Creek, open waterways (as appropriate) and the connection <br />to the Bay Trail System (along Redwood Creek and connecting the Bay Trail <br />from San Carlos to Menlo Park) <br />• Adding new play equipment and amenities in parks for the purpose of <br />increasing "play value" and use capacity (defined in the 2008 Park Needs <br />Assessment) <br />• Build new or expand existing community centers, recreational facilities, and <br />other park improvements for the purpose of increasing public use of facilities <br />2) The amount of the fee <br />There are fees for 5 different types of residential developments: Single Family <br />Homes, Condos with 8-20 units, Condos with 21+ Units, Apartment with 8-20 <br />units and Apartments with 21+ Units. The fees per unit during FY 16-17 were as <br />follows: <br />Table E <br />Single Family Homes (SFH): <br />$12,733.38 <br />Condo 8-20 units: <br />$10,688.53 <br />Condo 21+ units: <br />$ 8,399.13 <br />Apartment 8-20 units: <br />$11,452.09 <br />Apartment 21+ units: <br />$11,127.94 <br />
