<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />ELECTRICAL EVALUATION AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE SERVICES <br />FOR WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM PUMP STATIONS <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The City's Water Distribution system includes 9 major water pump stations, in various <br />locations throughout the City. The scope of services encompasses the entire system of <br />pumps and motors. <br /> <br />Consultant will perform the following services on a time and materials basis: <br /> <br />1. Work will be performed by consultant in order of priority as set by Redwood <br />City (PWS) Water Utilities Maintenance Section Utility Specialist, Don Nickle <br />("Specialist"). <br />2. Communicate and confirm scheduled work days with Specialist or Water <br />Utilities Maintenance Section Supervisor John Fochetti ("Supervisor"). <br />3. Prior to any station shutdown, when a shutdown is required, Consultant will <br />inform and coordinate shutdown with the specialist or supervisor. <br />4. Inspect and evaluate all electrical components at each pump station including <br />interior of structure and exterior of structure. <br />5. Repair and or replace small parts as needed during PM. <br />6. Provide a written report for each station, on a form to be provided by the City, <br />containing the findings of the inspection within 5 working days from the date <br />of inspection on all work completed, and any and all materials used. <br /> <br />7. Consultant must receive verbal authorization from the Supervisor or Specialist <br />prior to initiating any work, or purchasing materials or components where the <br />cost exceeds $500.00 or is beyond the typical scope of preventative <br />maintenance. For such work, Consultant will provide a written estimate of all <br />costs, including materials and labor. <br />8. All parts and materials belong to the City of Redwood City and shall be given <br />to the Specialist for disposal at the Municipal Services Center (MSC), 1400 <br />Broadway, Redwood City, CA <br /> <br />Agreement over $1 OK <br />City Attorney Approved Version 111803 <br /> <br />10 <br />
