No def- <br />inite reconunendation wa-s- made. - .. <br /> <br />The sUb~ect of formation of. a California Junior Game Patrol <br />branch in Redwood City was introduced- by Mr. De Armond,' who said <br />that the organization could be formed readily if some civic body <br />were willing to sponsor it. He was requested to work with Mr. Bog- <br />ie in investigating the possibility of ita formation. Contact with <br />Mr. Bert Werder of the county forestry service was suggested. <br /> <br />Periodical bulletins on all sorts of recreational activities <br />in the city, both professional and municipal, to be issued to the <br />community at large to inform residents of amusement possibilities, <br />was suggested by Mr. De Armond. He was asked to investigate -and <br />report at the next meeting on cost, period of pUblication, etc. <br /> <br />Mr. Charles Holt suggested a plan of purchases, in" which he <br />said it was possible to have interested citizens underwrite a loan <br />to the city that could be paid off at the rate of approximately - <br />$93 a month in a la-year period. The suggestion was tabled pending <br />action by the council on the recommendation. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Report of the transfer of Les Alderman from the- WPA department <br />here to San Mateo was made by Director De Armond. Mr. Arthur Ryan, <br />cou~ty WPA recreation head, explained his department's reasons for <br />making the change. Acting Chairman Spinas asked if the commission's <br />recommendation would bear any weight.with the WPA- department.
