The sUb~ect of formation of. a California Junior Game Patrol branch in Redwood City was introduced- by Mr. De Armond,' who said that the organization could be formed readily if some civic body were willing to sponsor it. Periodical bulletins on all sorts of recreational activities in the city, both professional and municipal, to be issued to the community at large to inform residents of amusement possibilities, was suggested by Mr. De Armond. He was asked to investigate -and report at the next meeting on cost, period of pUblication, etc. Mr. Charles Holt suggested a plan of purchases, in" which he said it was possible to have interested citizens underwrite a loan to the city that could be paid off at the rate of approximately - $93 a month in a la-year period. The suggestion was tabled pending action by the council on the recommendation. NEW BUSINESS: Report of the transfer of Les Alderman from the- WPA department here to San Mateo was made by Director De Armond. Mr. Arthur Ryan, cou~ty WPA recreation head, explained his department's reasons for making the change. Acting Chairman Spinas asked if the commission's recommendation would bear any weight.with the WPA- department. Mr~ Ryan answered in the affirmative.
