Absent: Mr. Hagen ,- Mr. Van Gundy. <br /> <br />Mdnutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTg-.: <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />,.. <br /> <br />Chairman Werder of the yacht harbor control investigation comm- <br />ittee revealed that while the port commission would be pleased to <br />have the harbor taken off its hands, the charter does not:permit such <br />a change. However, members of the commission signified that any im- <br />provements the recreation commission might deem advisable at the har- <br />bor would meet with the support and approval of the port group, pro- <br />vided- they in no way.interfered with the administration of the har- <br />bor. Any plans by the-. recreation commi.ssion should be presented to <br />them for approval, they said. - . " <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Mr. Morton said that the library board had given permission to <br />the recreation department ~o use .the former library building as head- <br />quarters until the building is disposed of. The staff was going <br />ahead with plans to,take ovef the building, he said. <br /> <br />Chairman Spinas of the Festival of Progress committee gave the <br />final report on the Festival's outcome. The committee was discharged <br />by Chairman Mdllington with the expression of a hearty vote of thanks <br />by the commission. <br /> <br />...--..
