B. Safety Net Services: Role of After School Director/Community School Coordinator: • Lead Second Harvest Food Distribution • Communicates with Principal about families in need of support services as related to food, housing, clothing, etc. • Participates in events such as uniform distribution and holiday drives Role of the Principal: • Assist After School Director with the organization of food distribution • Assist After School Director with resources and communication needs related to support services for families • Organize and lead uniform distribution and holiday drives C. Extended Day Services Role of After School Director/Community School Coordinator: • Lead the recruitment, enrollment and retention of students with input from Principal • Lead and run Extended Day programming in accordance to agreements with the Redwood City School District • Keep current attendance using City Span Role of the Principal: • Provide input and support recruitment, enrollment and retention of students in Extended Day Programs • Advocate with school staff about program needs and lead efforts related to aligning with the school day. • Provide input in program design D. Prevention and Early Intervention Services Role of After School Director/Community School Coordinator: • Participate SST and Support Services meetings as requested by Principal Role of the Principal: • Lead SST and Support Services meetings • Lead program efforts related to communicating with teachers, scheduling classroom pullouts, communicating with parents related to student's needs. E. Coordinated Services Role of After School Director/Community School Coordinator: • Participate in weekly meeting with Principal and other team members to assure proper communication and alignment between Academic and non-academic services • Take the lead in connecting and meeting with other services providers on campus to assure services are aligned with the goals of the programs and integrated with each other. • Serve in the School Site Council and Leadership Team to assure visibility and understanding of non-academic services Role of the Principal: • Lead meeting with After School Director other team members to assure proper communication and alignment between Academic and non-academic services • Assist and support After School Director in connecting with other program on campus to assure services are aligned with goals and integrated with each other • Lead School Site Council and Leadership team and assist and support the visibility and understanding of non-academic programs on campus REV: 12-18-1715 ATTY/AGR.2017.294/Redwood City School Districfage 5 of 8
