B. Equal Employment; Non-Discrimination.

<br /> Contractor certifies that it is in compliance with thc Equal Employment
<br /> Opportunity Requirements of Executive Order No 11246, as amended by
<br /> Executive Order No 1375, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the
<br /> California Fair Employment Practices Act and any other federal or state
<br /> laws pertaining to equal employment opportunity, and that it will
<br /> discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment or
<br /> opportunity to purchase the dwelling to be built on thc "property." on thc
<br /> basis of race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, physical
<br /> or mental disability, marital status, sexual preference, or political
<br /> affiliation in matters pertaining to occupancy, hiring, training, upgrading,
<br /> transfers, compensation or termination.

<br /> C. Fair Emniovment Practices

<br /> (1) In the performance of this contract, the Contractor agrees to
<br /> not discriminate against any employee or applicant for
<br /> employment because of race, religion, color, national origin,
<br /> ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, marital status,
<br /> sexual preference, or political affiliation. The contractor agrees to
<br /> take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and
<br /> that employees are treated during employment, without regard to
<br /> their race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age,
<br /> physical or mental disability, marital status, sexual preference, or
<br /> political affiliation. Such action shall include, but not be limited
<br /> to the following: employment, up~ading, demotion or transfers:
<br /> recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination: rates
<br /> of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for training,
<br /> including apprenticeship. The Contractor agrees to post in
<br /> conspicuous places, available to employees and applicants for
<br /> employment, notices to be provided by the City of Redwood City
<br /> setting forth the provisions of this Fair Employment Practices
<br /> section.

<br /> (21 The Contractor a~ees to pemfit access to his records of
<br /> employment, employment advertisements, application forms, and
<br /> other pertinent data and records by the State Fair Employment
<br /> Practices Conamission. or any other agency of the State of
<br /> California designated by the awarding authority, for the purposes
<br /> of investigation to ascertain compliance with the Fair Employment
<br /> Practices section of this contract.
