<br /> <br /> <br />35 <br /> <br />Commissioner Ha.nley reported on the 2~/3 acres on Maddux and stated that <br />som.e development should be started b'efore the end of thi s fis cal year. <br />He requested that this matter be put on the January agenda. <br /> <br />Commissioner Gold reported that the Union cemetary property was presented <br />at the last council meeting. He stated that he had contacted City <br />Attorney Cuthbert Currie and was informed that a report will be submitted <br />to the City Council relative to the cemetary at the December 14th meeting. <br />Commissioner Gold reported progress on this project and requested that it <br />be put on the January agenda. <br /> <br />Chairman Stout reported on the Sterling # 3 and felt that there is need <br />for additional park and recreation areas adjacent to Stulsaft Park. He <br />requested that this matter be put on the January agenda. <br />MSC by Commissioners Hanley and Gold that a letter be sent to the Planning <br />Commission referring them to our letter of August 4th wherein 11 request <br />was made ~or 10 acres of land in this area and if it was not feasible then <br />the Planning Commission make a recommendation for an alternate. <br /> <br />MSC by Commissioners Rembo and Hanley that a letter be sent to the Redwood <br />City Elementary School Trustees requesting that they send the Commission <br />a.n'T future contemplated school developments or s choal si te purchases in <br />u . <br /> <br />order that ~etter coordination could be made towards the planning of <br />park and recreation are~s with school sites. <br /> <br />Park Supt Pasco Balzrrini reported that he had sprayed 1200 gallons of <br />weed killer on the Union Cemetery property at the cost of $ 246.00 on <br />November 30th 1953. <br /> <br />There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 10:40 <br /> <br />Elouise.
