There is a groat need for childcare facilities in Redwood City, and such a use <br />would be consistent with the City's goals and policies for promoting moro of <br />these new services, For these roasons staff recommends that the Planning <br />Commission do the following: <br /> <br /> 1 ) Adopt the Mitigated Negative Declaration with mitigation measures <br />2) Recommend to the City Council that the General Plan land use designation <br /> be amended from "Open Space" to "Commercial/Office". <br />3) Approve the Tentative Parcel Map subject to the conditions in the <br /> Memorandum dated November 26, 2001, from Engineering and Construction. <br />4) Approve the Amendment to the Planned Development Permit <br /> <br /> Note: The Amendment to the Planned Development Permit, Tentative Map and <br /> and Mitigated Negative Declaration approvals will all be contingent upon the City <br /> Council approving the General Plan Amendment. <br /> <br /> OPTION <br /> Not adopt a mitigated negative declaration and require an Environmental Impact <br /> Report be prepared. <br /> <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> 1.
