Planning & Redevelopment Services 1017 Middlefietd Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 (650)780-7234 February 1, 2002 The Redwood City City Council will be holding a public hearing on February 25, 2002, on a General Plan Amendment to change the land use designation of a 2.92 acre site from "Open Space" to "Commedcal/Office". This land use change will allow the construction of a proposed child care center on the Oracle campus site. See details below. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Oracle Corporation wishes to construct a one story, approximately 21,800-sq. f. child care facility for approximately 200 children. The project will include classrooms, administrative offices, staff lounge, storage, and parking area. There will also be a secure playground area. The facility will serve the children of the Oracle Corporation employees. On January 15, 2002, the Redwood City Planning Commission approved a Planned Development Permit and Tentative Map for the project. It also recommended approval of amending the General Plan land use designation from "Open Space" to "Commercial/Office" to the City Council. PROJECT LOCATION: The project site is a 2.92-acre portion of the Oracle Cor~3ration Campus located at 275 Oracle Parkway. Its northerly and westerly boundaries abut the Belmont Slough while the southerly and easterly boundaries abut Oracle Parkway and other Oracle Corporation Lands. The City Council will accept public testimony on the above project at the public hearing to be held on February 25, 2002, beginning at 7:00 P.M. at the City Council Chambers, Redwood City City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, Califomia.
