1 drop-off Christmas trees for two weeks after January 1st. Contractor will notify all 2 service recipients in writing of the dates, time, and places of all Christmas Tree 3 Collections. 4 5 4.07.2 Household Battery Collection. In conjunction with the 6 Household Hazardous Waste Program administered by San Mateo County, Contractor 7 shall provide for the Curbside Collection of household batteries if directed to do so by 8 Agency. Contractor shall be responsible for the Recycling, handling andf or proper 9 Disposal of the batteries in compliance with all applicable laws. Contractor shall work 10 with the SBWMA to inform the public of the availability of this service. 11 12 4.07.3 Commercial Organics Collection Program. Contractor shall 13 continue the program to diverted commercial organic material from landfill disposal 14 (hereinafter the "Commercial Organics Collection I'rogram") consistent with 15 Contractor's November 20, 2002 proposal, and subsequent clarifications and revisions 16 dated: January 27, 2003; February 7, 2003; March 14, 2003; August 6, 2003; and August 17 13, 2003. Copies of the foregoing documents are on file with the Authority, the City 18 Clerk of the Agency, and the Contractor. 19 a. The Commercial ()rganics Collection Program shall continue for the 20 remaining term of the Agreement and any extension thereof. 21 b. Contractor shall report Commercial ()rganics Collection Program 22 tonnage information and other such other operational information (e.g., changes in 23 participants' solid waste service levels), in a content and format satisfactory to the 24 Authority and Agency, as part of the existing quarterly Management Information 25 System (MIS) report provided by Contractor to Authority and Agency. In addition, 26 Contractor shall submit Commercial ()rganics Collection Program financial information 27 as a part of Contractor's annual rate application consistent with the provisions of Article 28 6 of the Agreement. 29 c. The Contractor shall be compensated for services rendered hereunder in 30 accordance with Article 6 of the Agreement, except as provided below for processing 31 expenses. 32 d. Accounting for processing expenses incurred hereunder shall be the 33 product of multiplying the number of commercial organic tons processed by Contractor 34 by the applicable Processing Fee (per ton) specified below (hereinafter referred to as the 35 "Processing Fee"). 36 Attyj Agrj2005.022 060205 -18-
