1 Contractor shall be prepared to review its operations plan outlining the 2 Collection routes, intervals of Collection and Collection times for all materials Collected 3 under this Agreement with the Agency or its representatives at least annually. More 4 frequent reviews may be required if operations are not satisfactory based on 5 documented observations or reports or Complaints. If the plan is determined to be 6 inadequate by the Agency, Contractor shall revise plan incorporating any changes into 7 a revised plan and review said revised plan with the Agency within thirty (30) calendar 8 days. 9 10 When notified of a missed pick-up, Contractor shall Collect the Solid 11 Waste, Recyclable Materials or Plant Materials on the same day, if possible, but in no 12 case more than one (1) working day (24 hours) after receipt of notice. 13 14 4.10.2 Vehicles. 15 16 A. Specifications. All vehicles used by Contractor in providing 17 Solid Waste, Recyclable Material and Plant Material Collection services shall be 18 registered with the California Department of Motor Vehicles. All such vehicles shall 19 have bodies designed to prevent leakage, spillage and/ or overflow. 20 21 B. Vehicle Identification. Contractor's name, local telephone 22 number, and a unique vehicle identification number designed by Contractor for each 23 vehicle shall be prominently displayed on all vehicles, in letters and numbers no less 24 than two and one-half (2 1/2) inches high. Contractor shall not place SBWMA's or 25 Agency's name and/ or any SBWMA or Agency logo on Contractor vehicles. Vehicles 26 used solely for the Collection of Recycling, Organic and Plant Materials shall be labeled 27 to indicate those are the Collected materials. 28 29 C. Cleaning and Maintenance. 30 31 1) Contractor shall maintain all of its properties, 32 vehicles, facilities, and equipment used in providing service under this Agreement in a 33 good, safe, neat, clean and operable condition at all times. 34 35 2) Vehicles used in the Collection of Solid Waste, 36 Recyclable Materials, Commercial ()rganic Materials and Plant IYlaterials shall be 37 painted, thoroughly washed, and thoroughly steam cleaned on a regular basis so as to 38 present a clean appearance. Agency may inspect vehicles at any time to determine 39 compliance with this Agreement. Contractor shall also make vehicles available to the 40 San Mateo County Health Department for inspection, at any frequency it requests. 41 42 3) Contractor shall repaint or refurbish to the 43 satisfaction of the Agency all vehicles used in the Collection of Solid Waste, Recyclable Atty j Agrj2005.022 060205 -21-
