RFSOLUTION ~0, <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING COMPUTER EQUIPMENT TO <br /> SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF <br /> EQUIPMENT TO REDWOOD CITY EDUCATION FOUNDATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during the past year, several City departments have upgraded their <br /> computer equipment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, these upgrades have resulted in twenty-three (23) computers being <br /> sent to surplus; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this surplus computer equipment has no resale value; and <br />WHEREAS, one of the City Council's priorities is Youth and Education; and <br />WHEREAS, although this surplus equipment is no longer useful to the City, it is <br />still functional and could be of particular use to disadvantaged families and/or youth in <br />the community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City Educational Foundation has agreed to receive the <br />surplus property and distribute it where most needed in the community. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the computer equipment described herein is deemed surplus <br /> <br />property. <br /> <br /> 2. That the transfer of the computer equipment to the Redwood City <br />Educational Foundation will be of benefit to the community of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> 3.
